After major surgery and the results not being as I hoped, I had to endure two painful years of physical therapy.  I recovered from this debilitating but permanent injury so I could live my life.  My therapists made this possible and I had youth on my side.

Eighteen years later, in 2002, I was diagnosed as having a life threatening pulmonary embolism while seven weeks pregnant.  It was touch and go.  After four unplanned emergency trips to the hospital that year and delivering a very premature but healthy baby, I was beside myself.  Two weeks prior to this diagnosis, I rode my bicycle 42 miles in the Five Boro Bike Tour and now I couldn't even unload my dishwasher.  Two years later after receiving a clean bill of health, I took matters and my continued healthy recovery endeavors into my own hands. I went back to school.

I am now a certified Personal Trainer through World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.).  I am also certified in CPR/AED through the American Red Cross.  Two additional certifications I hold are in Kettlebell Instruction and Group Exercise Kettlebell Instruction through Kettlebell Concepts.

Despite major obstacles, I had to pull myself up by my bootstraps at two different  junctures in my life. Nobody was going to do it for me.  My goals are to help others see the light.  Nothing is easy but with the right motivation and obtainable, measurable goals I can help you become more fit, strong and proud.  I've been there, twice.  I know.

I am proud to say that my family rode and completed the 42 mile Five Boro Bike Tour in 2011 for the first time since 2002.  This included my 7 1/2 year old son!  As you can see, I have no choice but to keep up with him.

My name is Liz Green.  Wisconsin is my home state, although I have lived in New Jersey since 1989.  I studied at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse where I graduated with honors receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology.

Having always been an athlete, I suffered two major but very motivating health setbacks  in my life.  As a college student and while employed by the University, I injured my left knee during a team building weekend.  I fell 12 ft. from a Ropes Obstacle Course tearing my meniscus, and all four ligaments off the bone.
