What are boot camp classes like?

Our Fitness Boot Camp is a 4-week, challenging exercise class that delivers results and yet we still have a “fun” component built in!  It is an energizing group fitness class designed to help you achieve your fitness and weight loss goals!

Our typical session includes a strength training, cardiovascular, flexibility training in less than an hour.  It is difficult to say what a typical class looks like because our class changes constantly to prevent you from hitting a fitness plateau. Not to mention, it's never boring and repetitive!  However, you can expect light running, strength training, relay races, obstacle courses, circuit training, core training, boxing, rope jumping, stair or hill climbing, military fitness drills, plyometric drills, and more. 

I am very interested.  How do I sign up for the women's boot camp?

Simply go to the registration page and make sure to follow the instructions provided to sign up with Paypal or credit card.  We also accept cash, credit cards, and checks. After we receive your payment, we need to receive your completed forms.  This is important to ensure that you do not have any health issues that would prevent you from having a positive experience.

What type of membership is it?

You pay one low monthly membership price that will allow you to attend classes for unlimited classes, or 3x per week if you register for our evening class.

How long is the program?

Fitness Boot camp members are entitled to attend our 4 week program that meets 3 or 4 days per week for 45-50 minutes.  A total of 12 - 32 class sessions in 4 weeks.  You are responsible to attend all the sessions you registered for so that you can get the maximum results.

How much does it cost?

Body Basics Boot Camps has opened the doors to many people struggling with exercise and weight loss programs.  Prior to Body Basics Boot Camps, the closest most people could get to achieve these kinds of dramatic results with exercise would be to hire a personal trainer for each and every exercise session.  That means spending anywhere from $600 per month up to as much as $1,500 to $2,000 per month for a university educated, experienced and certified personal trainer.  Often these costs do not include
a gym membership which you might also require.

With Body Basics Boot Camps, the monthly investment is a small fraction of the cost of conventional personal training - or anything else you might try - yet yields far greater results. The cost of the boot camp is ONLY $227 (compare to $1,500 to $2,000 per month for private training). That entitles you to 4 classes a week for 4 weeks, a total of 16 sessions in 4 weeks.  Plus you get the unlimited option.  If you can handle two classes a day, go for it!

How do I pay?

Sessions must be paid in full prior to beginning boot camp.  Eligible participants must complete and submit the required forms before the program starts.  We can only accept 20 people per group, so space is limited.

How soon will I see results?

It all depends on how much effort you put into the class.  If you commit to our boot camp class with 100% effort, you may see visible results, energy increase, and noticeable strength in less than 3-6 weeks.  In regard to weight loss - this also depends on your adherence to our recommended nutrition guidelines.

Will I be sore?

It is normal to feel some soreness during the first week of camp.  However, your body will adjust and you will only feel slight to moderate soreness after a week of camp.

What should I bring?

Wear workout clothes appropriate for the time of season. Bring a water bottle, an exercise mat, and a positive attitude!  In Summer, we recommend gloves to protect your hands.  Optional items to bring to the camp are a hand towel to wipe your sweat, and a protein shake (your post-workout drink) to drink after your class so that your body can start recovering from the workout. 

What if it rains?

This is a fitness boot camp and class will go on rain or shine as currently we have access to indoor facilities. If we don't have access to indoor facilities , we will use  saftey as the determining factor.   If there is heavy downpour, a severe thunderstorm, or heavy winds class will be cancelled and rescheduled.

What if I miss a class?

There are no "make ups" for missed classes. Please see out "Policies Page" for other circumstances.

What kind of people go to fitness boot camp?

There are many reasons why people choose to join our fitness boot camp. Some attend our program because they need a push and some motivation.  Others feel desperate as they have tried "everything" to lose weight, but have failed to reach their goals.  Some just prefer training outdoors as an alternative to a crowded gym. And some join because they are simply just looking for results.

How long is each session?

I am not in great shape.  Can I still join the program?

What fitness equipment do you use?

We use medicine balls, resistance bands, dumbbells, sandbags, jump ropes, kettle bells, truck tires, cones, and more.  We learn to use whatever is around us, and so will you.

What about my local health club or gym?

If you already belong to a gym or health club, that's great.  Consider using it on your non-boot camp days to get in some extra cardio or active recovery exercise.  Or use it to make up a day if you have to miss a boot camp class.

What if I don't have a gym or health club membership?

We don't want you to stay away from gyms and health clubs.  But you can't help but compare with a gym or health club over the course of a year, you most likely pay an expensive monthly membership fee plus sales tax.  In addition, you are also very likely to be left alone without any supervision and may end up hurting yourself in the process.   Without a program or a plan, how can you expect to get dynamic results? 

With our fitness boot camp, there is no monthly gym membership and no sales tax. You can join us for one month with no obligation beyond that.  Most importantly, if you pay attention, you'll learn how to take control of your fitness for the rest of your life!  Stick around for  a few months to really make gains and learn to take control of your own workouts.  You'll know how to workout wherever you go, whether it's traveling anywhere in the world or in your own backyard.

Shouldn't I just hire a personal trainer?

Yes, you can hire a personal trainer and possibly achieve great results.  But it may not be necessary for you or your situation.  Perhaps you are already working with a trainer and just want to try something new and different for a change of pace.
